A minimum space of 12' x 16' with a ceiling height of 14'. The stage must be solid and flat. If risers are used they must be held firmly together either by the clamps that are usually part of the riser or by wire or duct tape.
A general wash that covers the entire performing area is the minimum. This includes light at a height of 14 feet to accommodate standing on an unsupported ladder of that height. A spot light is necessary.
Mr. Murphy travels with his own wireless lapel mic. It is necessary to have an amplification system appropriate to the theater or space. There must be a CD or Mini-disc player and the system must be able to accommodate a wireless lapel mic. There must be a person to run the sound during the performance.
The dressing room should be clean with a mirror and at least a near by bathroom with sink and toilet and running water.
